Around the Hotel

The resort is situated in Klong Nin, approximately the central area on the west coast of Koh Lanta. This makes it among the most strategic locations to stay on the island, positioning you almost equidistant between the hubbub at Saladan Pier in the north and south’s quiet, wild beaches near National Park. Klong Nin Beach itself is well known for its chilled-out vibe and also because there are no rocks in its central swimming area–one of a few beaches where swimming is good at any tide.

The area around the hotel is lively and convenient. Seven- Eleven and Tesco Lotus express stores are within walking distance. This is a big plus for buying cheap beer, snacks, and water. In the evenings, Klong Nin beachfront comes alive with "reggae bars" and restaurants putting bean bags and tables right on the sand. Staying at Matcha Lanta means you can walk to these sunset spots in two minutes, have a cocktail, stumble back to your room without needing a taxi.
