Most people travel to Matcha Lanta Resort from Krabi or Phuket. If you fly into Krabi International Airport (KBV), the standard way is by shared minivan transfer. The minivans take about two and a half to three hours, with a brief car ferry ride from the mainland to Koh Lanta Yai. The driver drops you right at resort reception. Alternatively, if you’re coming by passenger ferry either from Phuket or Koh Phi Phi, then you’ll arrive at Saladan Pier in the north of the island.

This place is located about twenty to twenty-five minutes south of Saladan Pier, accessible by road. Travelers can either hire a tuk-tuk(sidecar taxi) or get on board a songthaew(shared pickup truck taxi). Drivers hardly ever fail to know ‘Matcha Lanta’ since it has been around for quite some time and is fairly well known among locals as well as repeat visitors. In case someone happens to be driving a rental car all the way from mainland Thailand, there would hardly be any chance of getting lost due to one main road running parallel down along the west coastline of this island. Just keep following signs that say Klong Nin; after reaching an area with several shops plus 7-Eleven store,
